Its party time...
As soon as November end approaches, people start planning their new year party, the most hyped up event in human calendar…(yeah, ants and honey bees manage some sort of calendar of their own).
So like all other mortal and inferior human beings, I also started planning for new year bash even though I already knew tht none of my plans will frutify just like it happened in all previous years and I will most probably spend my new year eve all cuddled up in my quilt, with kids comfortably eating peanuts , jaggery and moongphali ki chakki (peanut patti,…I don’t like any other) and gajar ka halwa AND not watching those dumb year end special shows….just chatting up with my brothers, parents and sis-in-laws.
A good news poured in which almost decided where I will be celebrating my new year party. The news was my dear friend rohit was getting married to Sabine (I hope I spelt it correctly this time J ) and reception was slated on new year’s eve.
So this time round, it was all decided that my New Year party would be different than my earlier usual ones…
Dressed up in suit, I was among the first ones to reach there feeling like “fresh Arrival” item on a sale shop…all waiters and banquet ppl staring at me dropping in so early(they were still giving final touches to the reception hall) .
I met few old iit frends there. It was a gr8 party along with gr8 music, food , drinks and gals(my two friends are still fighting over a gal). In the party, 6guys sitting on a round table, all sipping their fav drink(yeah, i too drank as it was once-in a lifetime moment in rohit's life)…and consummately gorging upon snacks trying everything from dhokla to pizza to tikkas…with their drinks. And all other guests were busy catching up with one another. And it seemed that they all knew that we all were bunch of iit guys…but after seeing us indulging in our favourite passion so deeply, im sure, no parent present there would now send his son to iit :)
We people enjoyed a lot there . it was gr8 fun being there…thnx rohit for changing my routine at least for a day. And btw congrats to u once again, and happy future…ur after marriage happiness will decide our future…our marriages depends on ur happiness…be happy;) Sabine, u were looking gorgeous in sari...(ur dress was one major topic of discussion among us...will u go for western or indian dress :) )
