Dil Chahta Hai...

'my heart aches for'...thats the literal meaning of Dil chahta hai...alternately it means 'I Wish..'

young people tends to get bored too easily with monotonous mundane routine of their lives. and this boredom bug constantly hit me , and this time it bit my colleagues at office too and Mr. A, Mr. B, Mr. C alongwith me decided to hit upon the road big time and thus we decided to visit the ultimate monument of love in this world...thank god there is no compulsory rule to be in love or accompany your love to be able to visit the Taj Mahal. we all find ourselves perched up very high in "hopeless romantics" club.Mr. H joined us mid-way from mathura and Mr. R was our driver...so that make us BRANCH :)..and this branch was all stuffed up in one santro...poor car...

we started around 2pm , and planned of reaching agra by 5pm so that we will see taj under moonlight a bit...maybe we were more interested in how much a fool of a man can be made by the beauty of a woman, rather than being interested in splendid beauty of The Taj.

but has anything gone according to as per plans in India...never..neither did our trip..we reached agra around 5:45pm and there being no signboards whatsoever, and with the aid of some confusing bidirectional signages we covered 8km in 45minutes and reached the gates of tajmahal. no lighting outside; camel, horse-dung besotting the path leading to main entrance of taj mahal was just exotic..truly india...and did i say it smelled truly like shit walking on that 1km road from car parking to tajmahal under no lights at all. Battery operated auto-rickshaw demanded Rs.10 per passenger that too in front of policemen while standing under the govt. billboard where it was written in bold that fare was Rs.3 per passenger. Welcome to World Heritage Site... in India.

Needless to say garbage was littered all over the entrance of taj mahal , wrappers of ice-cream, chips, and blah blah depicting the prosperity of Shining India. inside the gates, there was not even a single candle and Taj stood like a shadow of its own glorious splendour. even without any lights, it was shining in its sheer brilliance.we decided to have some pics and blessed with Mr. A's forgetfullness, we could took only two pics that too without the taj coming in our backdrop..our digicam batteries failed us.

we were barely able top spend 15minutes in front of taj mahal, when we were told to vacate the premises. so, 4:30 hrs journey for 15minutes of tajmahal...isnt that gr8 and carefully planned, one example of living life on the edge...15minutes there and we would have missed our taj completely...btw now i have the record of seeing taj mahal twice for 30minutes and 15minutes respectively in my entire life till date..quite lucky to manage everytime on time:)

chaos reigned till the time we left agra, the complete BRANCH venting now so famous 'indian-anger' and shouting about 'indian-common sense'. Now, what is this indian-anger and indian-common sense...these are two side effects which are caused whenever a common indian man is disappointed by the sorry state of something or whenever he gets inspired by some patriotic movie. but dont worry, all my friends, it is as long-lasting as efforts taken by pakistan govt to curb terrorism. dont ever think that this camphoric anger will gonna change the india , so relax and continue reading...

Mr. H had his bday next day, so we spent few more hours with him, and celebrated the bday together..we partied at Pizza Hut on a Highway Mall, bought gift for him, talked a lot...it was pure all-guys fun just chatting under the star-lit sky, remembering old days. these few moments completely erased the bad memories of the day. we returned around 2am.

so, dil chahta hai ...to completely metamorphose the entire agra at least, so that our pride be shown proudly to the world.
and second thing this heart wants (dil chahta hai) is these moments spent with friends...they should be something like a recurring program without any virus(read gf or wife here)...these moments are too precious...let them linger on in my memory...
