SRK...always hurted and Shopping ...Always hurts

yeah, i m back..posting after long time...but no problem...I am HERE..so, i watched Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna last week...how was it...maybe toooo LONG...and maybe too shahrukh-ish...King Khan still believes that weeping is for women only...so, he is always trying hard to control his tears ..but in a very impressive manner..just chewing and hard-pressing his lips..i like that emotion (i try to imitate that when i feel like crying..im being brutally honest here)..tht reminds me of Preity Zinta trying to control her tears in DCH in the song "Tanhayee"...i LOOOVVEEE her and those noodle hair and that emotion of hers.

I watched KANK with my friend M and maybe i was too free or maybe too much obliging that I accented to her offer of going shopping with her to biggest bargain market of Delhi..Sarojini Nagar Market..here they will quote rs300 for a thing and then will lower their prices ...a gud bargainer can take tht rs300 thing for just rs40-50...yes thts the truth...and i'm one of those gud bargainers :)...and i proved that too(maybe thats why i already got offer for another shopping trip with M )

So we started shopping for halters, sphagettis, mini- skirts, tops, kurtis..and blah blah...we were joined by one of her friend R ...and she too was very much shopaholic...and there was me...just waiting to be tele-transported to Jupiter. We went to each and every shop ...and there were some fav shops of these two sweet ladies...and visit to those shops was a must...we started shopping around 3pm and went on to shop till 9pm (in my case it was truly shop till u drop). 6hrs of shopping ...i still cant believe it..was that me??...and the icing on the cake was that i was shopping for ladies wear..whenever i tried to stand away from shop, i was forced to join them and give my opinions too and then bargain that dress for them.Shopkeepers knew exactly where to hit the target and they were ready to sell anything ...at any price and all the ladies in shops were shopping as if the next meal of this poor shopkeeper's huge family was solely depended on their capacity to purchase as much as possible...They were shopping for a noble cause... ha ha:)

Thankfully I was offered a break in between and bribed with juice...actually it was more like a energy drink for me to brace up myself for lot more shopping...and as a perfect gentleman , i obliged...how sweet of me. but no more sweetness...thats what i have decided now.

And after my 6hrs of consumerism torture(shopping for uninitiated)..i was invited for dinner too...which i was in no mood to have, but again, my gentlemanly manners of brit origin took over me and i could not say no...but i decided against heavy dinner and settled for the worst ever sandwich of my life...and there were M and R ..gorging upon food as if just returned from somalia...(i know, M and R wont be reading this, thus i can laugh on their expense..at least i deserve that much..haha)

But in the end , I am happy that I could make my friends happy ..so what even if that happiness was inversely proportional to my uneasiness...ha ha...this is the second time , i Loved shopping...but more in retrospective.

  1. oh my god six hours of shopping.. i think i am usually ready to kill someone within two or three hours
SIX hours.. although when my friend H was here to shop for her wedding dress we only had that one sat.. so we did about 6 hours too on sat and then a few hours on sunday.. thank god we were both decisive shoppers and didnt linger on

n u can't be so sure that M & R are not reading it. The world is too small and the net- smaller.

Hmmm, SRK!! Yes, me fan, all the way from Europe! lol. I sure love his sens of humour.
Anyway, back to serious. You really are impressive! 6hrs shopping, and for friends only! waow, respect! I remember that on the only occasion you came shopping with me for my salwaar kameez, I was the one ready to leave after only 1 hr, and you were the couragious one pushing me further. I really do hate shopping, esp. in the heat and struggle of SN! lol. Though i'll be heading there again before leaving... ugh! Wanna come with me? ;)
