Break...from life

This weekend I managed to escape the Delhi-always-waiting-for-monsoon and was successfully able to break the monotony of a wasted-life-till-date and toured Jim Corbett national park and nainital (unplanned).

We were Raj (bakra), Parmar (furteela), Rahul (chacha) and me (nari) in a Santro with all 4tyres gone bald and in which horn was never used. It was a good trip in total but we were hugely disappointed by Corbett Park. We saw monster lizard, magpie robin bird, a bird with huge wingspan (forgot the name), peacock, deer and tiger (we all decided to make up this story to present ourselves as great lucky dudes in front of our hostel mates, though we never saw any tiger there, hopefully this bravado is still doing the rounds of my hostel corridors, so don’t spill the beans, lol). We were lucky enough to land up in Corbett Park because it was the last day of the season. FYI, Corbett opens from 15th October-30th June.

We had jolly good time at a small glacier fed river, Ramganga. Then it was Corbett falls and finally we decided to go to nainital. And believe me it was the best decision we took in 2 days. After shimla, nainital is the only hill station to floor me. Awesome. A must for everyone. We were in real danger of our lives when we started coming down from Nainital coz those previously-mentioned-bald-tyres started to slip every now and then and the clouds among the hills didn’t help us either. But it was too much exciting. I am always ready to live those dangerous but great moments again. And Mr. Pam aka Parmar aka furteela(=fast) always hesitated to use the horn even if that meant decelerating from 120 to 5 kmph in 5seconds and waiting for the cycle rider to give us side. He used it as rarely as Indians use common sense and logic in their lives.

And as somebody once said, a picture says more than thousand words; so not taking much of your time, you all can see my pictures (unedited, uncensored, that’s a privilege) at http://picasaweb.google.com/narender.kumar/CorbettRamgangaNainitalAndWE

Hehe, i guess that the main animals out there were monkeys, between u guys, and the real ones... lol (you forgot to mention the geese! AND the chicks! lol)
As for the peacocks, there are enough over at Himadri and Kailash! ;)
I love the spotted dears, so graceful...
Of course, beer and fags in the middle of nature... honestly...! lol.
(it's funny how every cheap hotel in India looks the same no matter where you go... same type of cloths and outlay! Souvenir souvenir! lol)
Indeed beautiful... Nainital reminds me of a mix between Srinagar and the Sikkim...!

Iiih, i wanna go back to India!!! :( :D
